Turning Fear Into Power When Happily Ever After Fades Away®: The Series ©

FEAR OF WHAT MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY WILL SAY:

Fear of judgment for the decision to end your marriage is a very real emotion felt by divorcing individuals. I have had clients literally crippled by the thought of even telling their mom, their dad, their sister, their brother, or even more extended people such as friends that they have decided it is best for them to divorce, period.

My mother would always tell me that you come into this world by yourself and that you will, most likely, leave this world by yourself. And, while we shouldn't purposefully be selfish to the detriment of others, you owe yourself to take every chance at attaining peace and happiness as you can have.

If remaining in your marriage does not give you any prospect of peace, does not give you any prospect of happiness, then you owe it to yourself to find that peace and that happiness for yourself. Do not sacrifice those two things which bring us joy in order to make another happy or comfortable.

Finding your own purpose is essential in helping you turn fear into power when happily ever after fades away.
