When I see my clients going through a divorce, I remind them how important it is to take the “high road'' to preserve their mental health, sanity and position.
During a divorce, your adversary may make “empty threats” to antagonize you. Believe it or not, simply ignoring those threats goes a long way in helping you achieve your goals!
Do you remember when you were young and had goals for what you wanted your life to be like? Graduate from college? Buy a house? Have a career? Start a family?
Your divorce aspirations are just as important. Divorce goals will help you create a new life after your divorce. These goals are much more important than anything your adversary can do to negatively impact your mental health.
In order to move forward with your goals, you have to remember to #ignore the small things. Don’t let your ex take power away from you. You may not be able to control what your ex does, but you can control your own response to it. That is your SUPERHUMAN power!
